MX 2011 | Samantha Starmer

Designing Cross-Channel Experiences The gap between physical and digital has blurred: we use Wiis to get in shape, computers to order a pizza, or our smartphone's GPS to find hot dates. People want to interact with products and services when they want to and how they want to -- and that's not always on the web. The future of design is everywhere the customer touches our product or service -- digital or physical. User experience practitioners must move beyond the screen to designing a holistic customer experience that is seamless across channels and devices. In a sequel to her MX 2010 talk -- The Holistic Customer: Beyond the Website Experience -- Samantha will provide specific recommendations for designing successful cross-channel experiences. Topics covered will include: 1. Key pieces of a seamless, cross-channel customer experience 2. Tools and methods for designing multiple interaction touchpoints across touchpoints and channels 3. Lessons Samantha has learned (successes and failures!) from her own cross-channel experience design efforts

When You're Gone-18

*** I got changed into Nick's clothes that smelled just like him I put the wet towel in the hamper and wandered around the house looking for Nick, not liking this house so much anymore. Nick jumped out at me and scared the crap out of me. "Nicholas Jonas don't do that to me!" He walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me while pressing his lips to my forehead "I'm sorry baby." "Are you trying to annoy me today?" He hugged me tighter and started walking down the stairs with me "no, not at all. I want you to have some fun." "I was having fun until you scared the crap out of me" "Alright I'm sorry, so, so, so, so, so sorry." He pushed me out of the door and I grabbed my keys from him and jumped into my car waiting for him. He got into the car and drove towards my house "want to call your moving buddies so they can move my stuff for me and then we can have a house warming party and invite all our friends." "Sounds... fun" I glared at him and then focused on the road "we don't have to." "No babe we can I just never mind." *** The movers were at my house in no time, I was sad to say goodbye to this place but I was living with Nick now something I've always wanted to do. The movers drove off towards our new house and we followed I gave Nick my phone to start messaging my friends and his. I pulled up to the house and got out with Nick I walked beside him while looking at who he was inviting. I took my phone from him "stop playing games!" I laughed and started inviting ...

Assess how a movie for your child

Remember when the movie "for adults" were the kisses? Movies are much more difficult to monitor with their parents, but can help these instructions.

The Best Snacks and Treats For Movie Theaters

A real treat for me is to go to the movies. I love the whole experience, and one of my favorite parts is indulging in my favorite movie theater food. It's not healthy, and is way over priced but I love it and it makes my trip even more enjoyable.

There is so much food for sale in movie theaters these days that the choice can be mind blowing. Here are just a few of my favorites.

One of my all time favorite foods is now a regular fare in movie theaters. These are the deliciously satisfying Nachos. There's just something g very special about that hot cheese and salty chips. My only problem is trying not to crunch too loudly.

If you want to limit how much fatty food you eat, yet still enjoy a snack at the movies, then pretzel bites. These hot pretzel pieces arrived in our movie theaters during the 1990's and are still going strong. If you want to spoil yourself a bit, get them dipped in cheese, delicious.

The biggest selling candy in American movie theaters is the addictive and delicious Sour Patch kids. The contrasting flavors of sweet and sour are truly amazing, and very addictive.

If you like your candies you'll probably also go for Sno-Caps, Goobers and Junior Mints. Do you, however, ever buy them from a store with your other candy? I bet you don't, as the movie theater success of these candies has never been replicated in the stores.

There is a great variety in the flavors of fountain sodas available, and I admit I like to mix it up a bit rather than stick to the same one all the time. A new favorite is the flavored ice drink called slush; this is exactly what the name says it is, slushy ice with a fruit flavoring.

I'm finishing off this list with the most popular movie theater food ever created, I refer, of course, to popcorn. This became a favorite decades ago and still stands firm as the favorite global movie food.

Finding the Best Movie Organizer For Your Home Needs

No matter how many movies you own, there will come a time when you feel you need to be more organized. Maybe you've just moved or are about to move and you realize you don't know what you own or what that means to your organization plans. With a movie organizer, you can find out what you own, what you need, and how to arrange it all. But to find the best movie organizer, you need to ask yourself a few questions.

In Person or Software?

The truth is that the best movie organizer may be a person in your life with better organization skills than you may have...as well as more time. You might want to pay an older child or a friend to sit down with your DVDs and other movie files and then organize them for you. However, this can often turn into a waste of time as you might end up talking more than organizing. A professional organizer can help to avoid this trouble, though they are a bit more expensive. With a DVD organizer software program, you will be able to run the program at any time, at your convenience and only pay one for the download.

Is It Easy to Use?

If you've decided to use a software program, the best movie organizer is one that will be easy to use. Try looking for programs that have a money back guarantee or that offer free trials in order to try out the program before you pay full price. Take some time to enter in at least twenty movies before you make any final decisions about the purchase. You might also want to ask other people in the household to use the program in order to see if the program works for anyone who might use it.

Can It Handle the Size of Your Collection?

The best movie organizer is one that will be able to handle the size of your movie collection now and in the future. Check to see that the program can handle at least twice the number of movies that you own so that you can expand this program whenever it's necessary to do so.

Does It Update Regularly?

Every software program will need updates from time to time, but you will also want the best movie organizer program to update your collection as well. Each time you add a new movie, the program should update the arrangement and the folders you have created. This way, you don't have to spend initial time organizing beyond the first setup.

With a movie organizer program, you can keep track of all of the movies you own, whether they're in DVD, VHS, or mp4 formats. Since entertainment is so easy to purchase and to store these days, you need all the help you can get to make sure you're able to keep track of what you own. Things don't have to get out of hand.

Sticking to Meal Planning

Meal planning or planning your meals ahead of time is nothing new. Normally people plan a week ahead of time. This helps you figure out what to buy at the grocery store and saves you money. AS LONG AS YOU STICK TO THE PLAN.

That's the hard part for most families - sticking to the plan. To help your family stick to a meal plan build in a take-out day. That's a day when we're too tired/too busy/too whatever to cook, so you can go out to eat, order delivery or fix a quick meal. Mix and match your meals. What I mean by that is come up with 7 meals and then fix it on whatever day you want. Let's face it you may not feel like eating spaghetti on Tuesday but you're craving it on Thursday.

Sticking to the menu planned is important because everyone knows what happens when you go to the grocery store to get a week's worth of meals and then order take out or eat out a lot that week. You waste a lot of food and spend more money than you probably planned.

To make your life a little easier you can make a special meal on Fridays or Saturdays. Something like pizza and a movie night. It's a little tradition and it helps to make meal planning and grocery shopping easier. Try to automate as much as you can. Come up with a couple meals that your family really likes and rotate them over the course of a month.

Be flexible when planning the daily meals. Automate as much as you can. Remember, by sticking to the meals you have planned you will save time and money.

Turbo Pizza Review

The title of Turbo Pizza leaves little to the imagination; the idea of the game is to get a variety of foods (yes mostly pizza) to customers as quick as possible. Games of this genre are becoming increasingly popular, let's find out why.

Essentially, the game is like running your own virtual pizza parlour, customers come in, give you an order, and you have to fill it as quickly as possible. The more orders you process the more money you make. As the game develops you move to different destinations, with increasingly impatient customers and more foods to prepare.

To progress to the later stages of the game you must be able to multi task well. To start off with you might be able to get away with serving one customer at a time, however, as time progresses you will need to be serving groups at once, to do this effectively you will need a good memory and a fast finger.

At the start of every level you are given a set goal that you need to reach, failure to reach this goal will see you start the level again. In addition to this, there is also an expert goal, which is not essential for completion of the level but more rewarding.

When the customers approach your diner, you must greet them and find out what they want, and then click the right place to serve up their order, when you have served the customer they will leave you your money and be on their way. This sounds simple in theory, but when playing the game you will find out this is far from the truth. You might not realise it early on but as play progresses you will see a patience bubble, which will deplete the longer your customer waits, when it reaches the bottom the bar turns will turn red and the customer will leave, without paying up. Different types of customer have different patience levels, and in later levels it is always the customer with the lowest patience you should be dealing with, as failure to get their money will ultimately leave you without your required goal.

When you finish a level, you have the option to buy upgrades with the money you have gained from previous levels. These upgrades include almost everything you would think of buying in a real diner to help with running speeds (apart for extra staff!) However, to combat the lack of extra staff, you can send Rebecca and Robert on courses to improve their service speed. However, if your speed does not match theirs then there is little point upgrading this. You should never leave Rebecca standing around for more than a couple of seconds as this is wasted time.

While turbo pizza maybe easy to get the hang of it is hard to develop your skills, and near the later levels greater skills are a necessity. To effectively double your game time why not complete the game making sure that you complete every level on expert. Games of this genre are popular due to their speed, you will never find yourself without something to do, and this makes the game play exciting and fun for the whole family.

Making Pizza the Homemade Way

So you like homemade pizza? Well I can tell you that it is just so simple and an inexpensive to make one of your very own at home. Enjoy the taste and aroma of that NY Style Pizza Shop. Go ahead, give it a toss!

The crust or pie base is the key part to the successful pizza pie recipe. Once you've mastered the technique of making your own pizza base, you can move on to picking your toppings. The choice is yours; let your imagination and taste buds go to work. Just check out the local market and see what you can find to top that delicious pizza pie. There is actually a two (2) step process for making your pizza, here we go... first you will have to make the base; secondly you will enjoy adding your favorite toppings. That's It. Here are the ingredients that are essential for your base: yeast, flour, sugar and water, salt optional. Or add your salt to taste when your pie is complete.

With the base complete, you can then spread the tomato paste evenly over the top, adding a little oregano to taste. Then comes my favorite part, add your toppings.

Now for the making of your base: Mixing hot water and sugar allowing the sugar to complete dissolve put your yeast into mixing cup. Mix the ingredients together making a pie dough. Then while letting the yeast rise for a bit, prepare your toppings, some of them will need to be chopped or minced, pre-cooked, etc. Turn oven to 350 while you prepare your toppings.

When the dough is right, lay it down flat and shape it. You can make any shape pizza you like, it is Your Homemade Pizza and made to Order. One of the fun things about making my pizza at home is the enjoyment in the making of it. Choosing my toppings and the shape of the crust.

Now spread the tomato sauce evenly over the top. Covering the entire pizza. Finally, you may now put the toppings on, do you want them on all the pie or half, maybe just one slice worth? Place it in your preheated oven for approximately ten minutes, checking it periodically to see for doneness. And "tada", you have your own homemade pizza hot and ready out of your own oven. Ready to be sliced, if you have a rolling cutter use that, if not a typical kitchen knife will do just fine.

Nutrisystem Vs Buying Lean Cuisine

The other day, I received an email from someone who asked if buying frozen meals like lean cuisine or smart ones at the grocery store would yield the same weight loss results as the Nutrisystem diet. She perceived that the frozen meals were cheaper, even though she suspected that they weren't going to yield as drastic results. Still, she hoped that she could get some at least some weight loss from the grocery store and asked my opinion on this. I'll tell you what I told her in the following article.

The Basic Weight Loss Equation And Why Nutrisystem Takes This Further: Everyone knows this, but it bears repeating. You will lose weight if you repeatedly take in less calories than you are burning. This equation has been around since the beginning of time and it's very simple. Yet, it's simplicity doesn't ensure that we're any more successful with it. As a population, we are fatter today than ever - so perhaps this isn't so simple after all.

Nutrisystem takes this a bit further by putting ketosis into the equation. Basically, carbs and proteins also come into play. In this way, this diet sort of takes what works from both low calorie and high protein diets. The foods are designed to be low in calories and carbohydrates, but low in protein. This sounds pretty basic too, but it actually does make your body burn fat much faster. The reason for this is that you are no longer giving it the carbs that it is used to burning. So instead, it must rely on your fat stores.

Any diet that we are comparing to Nutrisystem then should also be able to put your body in ketosis if you are going to have similar results. Therefore, I'm going to be looking at lean cuisine in terms of nutrition, calories, fiber, and carbohydrates. For the sake of comparing apples to apples, I'm going to compare two similar foods - nutrisystem's and lean cuisine's pizza - which are both popular items.

Lean Cuisine Pizza Nutrition Information: This product has 320 calories, and 80 of them are from fat. In total, it contains 9 grams of fat. There are 17 grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber. The most troublesome thing to me here is the carbohydrates contained. There are a whopping 42. I find it very doubtful that you will get in ketosis with even a few of these meals daily. And, if you limited yourself to one, you'd still need to be very careful throughout the remainder of the day, especially if you are preparing the foods yourself.

Nutrisystem Pizza Nutritional Information: This item has only 250 calories, with 70 of them coming from fat. There are 8 fat grams. There is 11 grams of protein. But, there are only 28 grams of carbs. This is 14 less and this can make a big difference over time. You are also saving 70 calories which can add up also.

Another thing to consider with Nutrisystem is that you won't need to be careful or conscious of what you eat for the rest of the day. They balance the meals out for you so that you're eating no more than about 1200 calories per day and taking in a low enough amount of carbs and a high enough amount of protein so that you will get in ketosis. They provide the foods for you (three meals, a snack, and a dessert.) The dinner options (like the pizza) are the highest in calories and carbs. But the lunch and breakfasts are light on both of these. The whole thing is designed to give you the nutrients that you need while making sure that you approach both equations correctly.

Testing A Diet's Effectiveness: If you're still not sure which way you want to go, you can get ketone strips at most drug stores. These will tell you if you are in are or approaching ketosis. You can do this after a week or so on the lean cuisine meals to see what happens. I suspect that those extra carbs and calories would add up after a week though, but see for yourself. I can tell you from experience that a week of this diet will very likely put you in this place so long as you follow the instructions.

By now many people know that coupons for Dominos pizza are theirs for the taking if they want to take advantage of them. With the recession in full swing many have opted to start using coupons to shave off a good amount of money off virtually anything they purchase.

In fact, it would be extremely worthwhile to get into the habit of cutting or printing out coupons for every day products you actually use such as groceries and toiletries; you would be surprised at how much you can save throughout the year!

If you are still not convinced like approximately 95% of the human population who never use coupons for one reason or another you should know it's possible to save up to 75% off your consumable goods every year depending on how much effort you want to put into it! It's a fact that "super couponers" who are very experienced consumers routinely shave off more than half off the total purchase price when they shop.

Although it takes experience to end up paying only half price or less on your grocery and household shopping, even a complete beginner can save up to 35% or slightly more from the start if they simply take the time to make a list of the products they buy and match them with free online coupons including ones from Dominos.

A smart move to get you into a money saving habit would be to start trying to consistently use discounts on something you regularly buy like free coupons for Dominos pizza, and gradually add items you can easily find coupons for, until you're using coupons for anything and every purchase.

Enjoying Your House Removal

Planning your house removal can be quite exciting. Most likely you have just found the place of your dreams or you are moving to a nicer neighbourhood or you have found a new job to which you want to be closer. Whatever the reason for your moving, your will need to find a removal services supplier that you feel comfortable with and that you can trust with your belongings. Although many people prefer to simply bribe their friends with a pizza and some beer and move their belongings themselves, there are some very good and compelling reason for hiring a professional house removal service to do the job for you.

Yes, it will cost more than if you called your mates and did the removal yourself, but a moving service will free up your time so that you can be settled into your new place faster than ever. While it might take you all day to move your belongings, a professional removal services provider will be able to cut that time down by more than half. Their experienced movers will know exactly how to pack, load and unload your belongings so that there is no wastage of time or effort. Furthermore, they will come equipped with all of the necessary tools to help move heavier items without the strain and effort that would be required without the proper kit.

If you ask a couple of your mates to help and one of them slips and drops your television, then you have no recourse for the damages that it might sustain. Your insurance might not cover damages that are incurred due to a third party while the item in question is in-transit.

If you are on your own, hiring a house removal services supplier will come in extremely handy. Some of the larger moving companies also provide packing services whereby they will come in on the day of your move with a team of movers and pack all of your furniture and then even unpack it for you in your new home. Depending on the kind of service you request, some companies will even send technicians to hook-up your audio-visual equipment and to hang your paintings on your wall. Naturally there is always a surcharge for such accessory removal services, but if you are alone to move, the money will certainly be worth the convenience.

Your house removal can be a stressful and tension-filled affair or it can be an easy-as-pie event. By hiring a removal services supplier that you can trust with your belongings you will not have to worry about finding people to help you on moving day, of providing food and refreshments for them and of then being in their debt. Just remember to book your removal services provider as early as possible so that you are not forced to hire your second or third choice moving company.

Make a Yummy Low Fat Pizza

There was this line in a movie (I can't quite recall which) that said "Fatless, salt-less, sugarless... and tasteless" or something to the same effect. This actually reflects a quite popular sentiment in this day and age of health consciousness. People who wish to be healthy or who want to lose a few pounds are of the belief that they have to sacrifice taste if they wish to achieve their desired weight or health goals. Naturally, tasteless yet healthy foods don't lend itself well as a substitute for tasty yet rich foods to which we have been accustomed. As a result, people who go on a low fat diet usually find themselves reverting to old habits sooner or later.

Nevertheless, while it is true that majority of health and low fat foods being sold in the market do tend to be bland, this is not applicable in all cases. If nothing else, there is such a thing as a yummy, low fat pizza. Yup, a delicious low fat pizza is definitely possible. In fact this article will instruct you on how to make one. All you need is a proper understanding of what constitutes healthy, low fat food and how to apply such principles into making your pizza.

The Principles of a Low Fat Diet

Understand one thing: low fat doesn't mean non-fat. These two are entirely different things. Low fat means you reduce the amount of fat in your diet. This means that less than thirty percent of your daily calorie intake should come from fat.

A low fat diet also means a reduction in the amount of unhealthy fats in your diet. By unhealthy fats, we are referring to saturated fats (which are unhealthy because they raise bad cholesterol levels) and polyunsaturated fats (which are unhealthy because they reduce the amount of ALL types of cholesterol and do not discriminate between good and bad cholesterol). Each of these two types of fat must consist less than ten percent of your daily calorie intake. Monounsaturated fats, on the other hand, are the "healthy fats" because they promote good cholesterol levels and reduce bad cholesterol levels. Such healthy fats, however, should still only comprise less than fifteen percent of your daily calorie intake.

Reduction in the amount of fat and reduction in the amount of unhealthy fats are the basic principles of a healthy, low fat diet. If you reduce the amount of fat intake but consumes only or mostly unhealthy fats, then you are, technically, on a low fat yet generally unhealthy diet.

A low carb diet is not the same as a low fat diet. A low fat diet can be one that has high carbohydrate content whereas a low carb diet can have a high fat content. With careful planning, however, it is possible to combine a low fat diet with a low carb diet.

There are debates as to which of these two types of diet is healthier. Definitely, a low fat diet that reduces the intake of unhealthy fats is healthy. However, if your goal is to reduce weight, a low carb diet is more effective in the short run. Nevertheless, a low carb diet can lead to more side effects and can be unhealthy in the long run whereas the low fat diet, although apparently not as effective as a weight reduction measure in the short term, is more effective as a weight maintenance measure in the long run.

Now that the definition of a low fat diet has been discussed, and the low carb and low fat diet have been sufficiently differentiated, it is time to apply such tenets. Get your pizza pan and wooden spoon ready. It's time to make our yummy, low fat pizza. Take note that we are going to make real, homemade pizza - not something that simply looks and tastes like pizza.

How to Make a Yummy Low Fat Pizza

The secret to making a low fat pizza is finding out the fat content of your usual pizza ingredients, finding a low fat substitute, reducing overall fat content, and adjusting the other ingredients and the cooking procedures to reflect the changes. You need not compute the calories in pizza to make a low fat pizza.

Low fat pizza dough The change should start with the pizza crust. Whether you are making a thin crust or a thick crust, you should always focus on how much fat content your pizza crust recipe has. For instance, the basic pizza dough recipe has the following ingredients: flour, yeast, water, oil/shortening, milk, salt, and sugar. To make pizza crust relatively low in fat content, therefore, you must check each of the ingredients and find substitutes when applicable.

In the easy pizza crust recipe indicated above, it is easy enough to find low fat substitutes. First, you should use vegetable oil instead of animal fat or butter as your shortening in your pizza recipe. Of all vegetable oils, however, it is best to use olive oil which has the highest amount of monounsaturated fat content. Avoid palm and coconut oil as these have higher saturated fat content. Next, you should use dry, non-fat milk solids to replace regular milk.

Aside from replacing the ingredients that you can with their low or non-fat substitutes, you should also reduce the total amount of fat in your pizza dough recipes. Use as little oil as possible in your pizza dough. Moreover, do not use egg yolks even if your traditional homemade pizza recipe calls for it.

Substituting olive oil for butter or shortening should not result in any drastic changes. In fact, you can use extra virgin olive oil for a stronger olive flavor. If you prefer your crust to be creamy, you shouldn't worry since you are using milk on your dough anyway. The above ingredients should therefore give you great-tasting, low fat pizza.

Now, if you want to make an even healthier pizza dough, increase fiber content by using whole wheat flour instead of the usual white flour; reduce the amount of salt and sugar, too. Then, you can decrease carbohydrate content by opting for a thin crust pizza (less carb per slice) or reducing the amount of flour. To compensate for the less flour, you can use egg whites as binder (of course, amount of water must be reduced in proportion to the amount of egg white used).

Pizza Toppings and Pizza Sauce Low Fat Pizza

It is much easier to choose pizza toppings for a low fat pizza recipe. You should primarily choose vegetable toppings. Thus, a vegetable pizza is preferable. For variety, you can add fruit and make it a vegetable-and-fruit pizza. You can find a vegetable pizza recipe or a fruit vegetable recipe online; you can also create your own.

No-cheese pizza is best, but if you really must have cheese, then find low fat cheese or find a low fat cheese blend that you can live with. Moreover, less cheese is best. Use just enough cheese to give your pizza flavor; I'm afraid that cheese pizza is generally out then.

Tomato sauce is healthy, but you should choose one with a lower salt and sugar content. If you want, you can make your own. You can even dice up your own tomatoes and use them as toppings. Finally, substitute lean meat to your fat-laden sausages; use white meat (without the fat portions) instead of red meat. Add herbs and herbal pizza spices to add flavor and taste to your low fat pizza.

Last Minute Valentine's Day Ideas For Your Boyfriend

Valentine's Day is tomorrow and you've been so busy wrapped up in your daily doings that you simply didn't have time for some serious shopping or to put something special together. Or maybe, gifting has completely slipped your mind and you've only just remembered. Well, don't worry; be it a day or a few hours, you can still get something good. After all, last minute shopping is a girl's talent.

What you need to do is know exactly what it is you want and then make a quick trip to the mall and go to the specific store; cut the time by checking the floor directory. If he's a sporty man then try the sporting gear stores and pick up something you know he'll love. Be it a hockey puck or a new basket ball, a foot ball or a new bat for America's favorite sport, baseball. Whatever it may be, pick out the right gift, personalize it and make him a happy man.

If he's a man of music, the get him a new guitar pick, drum sticks or maybe a CD of his favorite band. Although, it may get quite costly so if you can't afford it then simply pick up an empty CD and burn him a CD of all his favorite songs. Making him a mixed CD is much more personal and you could personalize the front of the CD with markers or a picture. Slip the CD into a case and personalize that too. Maybe you could make up an album name and insert your favorite picture of yourself and your boyfriend and you'll have his new favorite album.

However, if you don't have time or transport to hit the stores, then raid your kitchen for ingredients and put together a simple dinner for the night. Whip out the fine china, a few candles and you'll have a home cooked dinner for you and your man. For a longer night, pop in a jazz CD and you could turn your hall into a ballroom and have a romantic dance to the glows of soft candle lights.

If you're no chef in the kitchen, then don't worry, have a movie night instead. Invite him over and pop in a movie into your DVD player and order in some pizza. It may not be much, but you could dim the lights, light a few candles and snuggle up on the couch. The point of Valentine's Day isn't to spend lavishly but to spend time together and enjoy each other's company.

10 Tips for a Healthy Weekend

Many a diet has been ruined on a weekend. Our weekends are usually less structured than a week day. We have more free time (to sit in front of the TV with a bag of chips) and more temptations (in the form of Aunt Betty's famous chocolate chip cookies).

But with a little planning, it's easy to stick to your diet throughout the weekend. Check out the tips below.

Get outside and get moving. The weekend is the perfect time to go outside and do something fun. Make a date with your friends and family to go to the beach, hike through the woods, or play a game of kickball.

Try a new recipe. Take some time to dust off those old cookbooks and pick out a recipe that you've always wanted to try but never had the time to make. You might find a new favorite healthy dish!

Keep your water bottle with you. Studies show that we should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. This includes the weekend! if you always have your water bottle handy, then you'll be less likely to purchase a sugary soda when you are out and about.

Watch your alcohol. The calories in alcoholic beverages can add up pretty quickly...especially if you're the type of person who likes fruity mixed drinks. If you must drink alcohol, try to stick with either a red wine or a clear liquor mixed with non-caloric beverages (club soda, water, diet cola).

Read a healthy article or book. By reading articles or books about healthy living on the weekend, healthy thoughts will be at the forefront of your mind and you'll be less likely to make bad choices.

Park far away. If you're going out shopping, park as far away from the store as you can. This will help you to get a bit more exercise in.

Plan for a treat. Going to a birthday party and want some cake? Having pizza and movie night with your sweetie? If you make lower calorie food choices during the rest of the day, then these types of treats won't completely sabotage your diet.

Keep your mind and hands busy. Many of us reach for food when we are bored or watching TV. If you take up a hobby which uses your hands, you'll be less likely to fill your hands with snacks.

Double your exercise time. Since we tend to have more free time on weekend, super-charge your workout by doubling your usual time. You'll burn more calories which will help counter any less than healthy choices you make.

Set goals for the week. It's always a good idea to spend some time on the weekend planning and setting your goals for the week ahead. If you have set some healthy goals for the week, then you won't want to ruin them during the weekend.

By following these tips, you'll be more likely to stick to your healthy habits and achieve the success that you are looking for.
